Charissa Thompson was on hand this week at the 2023 NFL Honors ceremony where the league handed out its various awards.

As one of the preeminent broadcasters in the sport, Thompson’s presence was expected.

That said, despite everyone knowing she would be there, few were prepare for Thompson’s outfit choice to the event. She looked very nice and left quite the impression among people there and fans who would later see what she wore from the comfort of their homes.

A few days after the ceremony, Thompson shared outtakes from the big shindig on social media:

This isn’t the first time Thompson has made headlines in this fashion. Between her choice of attire for a recent gameday, handsy picture with a San Francisco 49ers star and brutally honest confession about her most recent divorce, she has been something of a permanent fixture in the headlines.

Obviously Erin Andrews’ viral photo with Patrick Mahomes stole the show this week, but Thompson has consistently been a presence throughout Super Bowl week as well.

One of the things that has really made Thompson a star over the past few years is her relatability. Whether she is telling racy airplane stories, openly discussing her first time or divulging her biggest embarrassment ever, she always just keeps it really real.

That degree of openness and sincerity can’t be faked. The fact that Thompson possesses it has endeared her to NFL fans in a way that a lot of other broadcasters can’t relate to.

With the Super Bowl coming this weekend, Thompson figures to be a mainstay on TV between now and then.

What else will Thompson ultimately go viral for ahead of Sunday’s big game? Time will tell.
