Brittany Mahomes has been front and center supporting her husband, Patrick, and the Kansas City Chiefs all season long.

As one of the foremost backers of one of the two teams playing in this year’s Super Bowl, Brittany has drawn the ire of certain critics.

Some of the criticism has been valid. Some of it less so.

This week she found herself the victim of some surprising critique regarding what certain NFL fans perceive to be a changing appearance.

Specifically, her lips.

“Are your lips fake?” one fan wrote in response to a video she posted.

“Chill out on the filler. Top lip looks like you got punched,” another person commented.

So is there any validity to those accusations? It’s hard to say. This is a photo of Brittany from almost a year ago:

And this is her now:

Do her lips look a little different? Maybe. But a year is a long time. Plus, she did have a baby in that span. Perhaps her appearance changed a bit as a result of that.

In any case, Brittany has been an absolute lightning rod for headlines in recent months. Between the wild party bus photos from last week, the stir she caused with her provocative 1-word message on a shirt and the brouhaha generated by her recent workout pictures, it has been one thing after another.

While Brittany’s recent efforts haven’t gotten as much buzz as Trevor Lawrence’s wife’s recent party photos did, she isn’t far behind in terms of attention.

And if the Chiefs prevail over the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend, Brittany will be regarded by most NFL fans as the undisputed queen of the league. Fake lips or not.

Will Patrick, Brittany and all of Kansas City get something to celebrate on Sunday? Or will Philly spoil those plans? One way or another, an answer should emerge over the next 72 hours.
