Shailene Woodley Reacts To Aaron Rodgers Dating Mallory Edens

Shailene Woodley was once engaged to Aaron Rodgers, so it would stand to reason that she would have some sort of reaction to him now dating Mallory Edens.

Woodley and Rodgers spent several years together while she was at the peak of her career and he was leading the Green Bay Packers deep into the playoffs. Their relationship culminated with a surprising engagement, before everything ultimately fell apart.

Woodley got over Rodgers by reportedly making out with an A-List actress. He got over her with a self-proclaimed witch, whom Woodley ended up feuding with.

Over the past few weeks, however, Rodgers has seemingly landed himself in a new relationship with the 26-year-old Edens.

Despite their wide age gap, Rodgers and his new Milwaukee Bucks heiress girlfriend seem to get along swimmingly. Their intimate exchange at a recent NBA game spoke volumes.

This past week, Woodley finally reacted to her former fiancé moving on with someone five years younger than her and 13 years his junior.

In a conversation with Porter Magazine, Woodley revealed that her new role in the TV adaptation of Lisa Taddeo’s book, Three Women, allowed her to really work through her sadness over her last relationship.

“It was hard to film because I was going through the darkest, hardest time in my life; it was winter in New York, and my personal life was sh**ty, so it felt like a big pain bubble for eight months,” she said.

“I was so grateful that at least I could go to work and cry and process my emotions through my character.”

Although Woodley is careful not to mention Rodgers or Edens by name, it’s not hard to read between the lines there. It was something of an open secret in Hollywood that their relationship ended on very bad terms. And this confirms it.

Many have since forgotten, but Edens caused something of a stir in Woodley and Rodgers’ relationship back when they were still trying to work things out.

Seeing Rodgers bounce back with Edens in the way he has clearly was just salt being rubbed on the wound. The timing of this interview likely wasn’t a coincidence.

Unlike Woodley, Rodgers has largely ignored his former fiancée as far as public comments go. If anything, he has offered more insight into how he feels about Danica Patrick than Woodley.

Clearly there are still some raw feelings there.

As the weeks turn into months and months turn into years, Woodley, Rodgers and Edens will likely move past this. Time heals all. In the meantime, though – clearly that hasn’t happened yet.
