Over the past few years D.K. Metcalf has quietly established himself as one of the top wide receivers in the NFL.
Understandably, he now wants to be paid like one.
Metcalf is currently heading into the final season of a rookie deal which will see him get just under $4 million. He wants more. And after seeing multiple wide receivers get massive paydays this summer following trades, many are wondering if the only way he will get it is if he gets dealt to another squad.
While his contract situation is very much up in the air, Metcalf seems to be doing quite well for himself off the field.
Recently, the Seahawks star was spotted with pop singer Normani for dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica, California. The pair reportedly arrived separately, but left together.

Obviously it remains to be seen where this relationship ultimately goes, but if nothing else, it does speak to Metcalf’s ever-growing star power.
Big picture, Metcalf is no stranger to making headlines for his various romantic entanglements. You will recall, this is a guy who was once called out over a foursome.
Moreover, he is also not shy about getting involved in other people’s relationships. Metcalf’s provocative take on Russell Wilson and Ciara speaks for itself.
But all that off-the-field drama aside, most importantly, Metcalf is just a really good football player. And if he ends up leaving Seattle, the Seahawks will be worse off for it.
As things presently stand, there appears to be one NFL team that has emerged as a trade favorite should Metcalf not be able to come to terms with his current squad.

But obviously the best case scenario for all involved is if Metcalf figures something out with the Seahawks.
Will that ultimately end up happening?
