McKayla Maroney Posts First Pictures Of Herself After 1 Year Off Social Media
McKayla Maroney made a name for herself in the 2012 Olympics as an integral member of the ‘Fierce Five’ group. Not only did she win an individual silver for herself in those games, but she also helped the U.S. side capture a team gold.
In addition to enjoying immense success on the mats, Maroney also established herself as an early influencer. Everything she did was a big deal. Between her see-through shirts, wild workout pictures and racy videos, she was constantly going viral for something or other.
If not for Maroney’s efforts, someone like LSU star Olivia Dunne definitely wouldn’t be setting the internet ablaze for things like her ‘nippy video’ and pictures of her wearing just a thong these days.
Over the past couple of years, Maroney has sort of fallen off the map. She hasn’t really engaged on social media and has resisted the urge to post fresh content.
This week, that changed.
On Monday, Maroney took to social media to post an IG story that featured a photo of herself.

Fans loved it.
Again, Maroney used to be really popular on social media. Her posts got massive engagement across the board:

But somewhere along the way, that stopped mattering to her. And when that occurred, Maroney stopped publishing new content.
This week signaled a change.
Will Maroney return to her old posting ways and get back to publishing the sorts of photos and videos fans once expected from her? Time will tell.
