4 Finalists Emerge In Arch Manning Recruitment Sweepstakes

4 Finalists Emerge In Arch Manning Recruitment Sweepstakes

Arch Manning is widely regarded as the top high school quarterback prospect in the nation. Because of his immense skill level and high ceiling, every big name university in the country has attempted to recruit him.

Last November, Manning giving some random blonde girl a commitment to her school in bed went mega-viral. That is how crazy the hoopla surrounding him and his future has gotten.

Although Manning has officially eliminated one big name program from contention for his services, the question of which college he will ultimately end up attending is still very much up in the air.

This week, word emerged that the young star was essentially down to four finalists.

According to On3 Sports’ Recruiting Prediction Machine, Alabama, Texas, Georgia and Ole Miss are the current frontrunners for Manning’s services.

Per the odds, Manning has a 35.6 percent chance of picking Alabama, 31.4 percent chance of selecting Texas, a 27.2 percent chance of going with defending national champion Georgia and a 3 percent shot of going with Ole Miss.

None of this should come as a surprise. The Manning family has been very honest regarding how they feel about Nick Saban. Ditto for Steve Sarkisian. Georgia’s recent title keeps them in the mix, as does Lane Kiffin’s relationship with the heir to the Manning dynasty.

This is shaping up to be an interesting race.

Last year Manning recorded 1,913 passing yards and 26 passing touchdowns in 10 outings. In addition, he also pitched in 381 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns. He the real deal. Also, unlike some of the other big name college quarterbacks out there, he doesn’t come with any known bizarre bedroom fetishes. That kid is all about the football.

Where will Manning ultimately end up when it’s all said and done?

Time will tell.
