Surprising Details From Lane Kiffin’s Arch Manning Visit Emerge

Arch Manning is the top high school football prospect in the nation right now.

Everyone wants to recruit him – with no exceptions.

Not long ago, a video of him giving some unnamed blonde girl a pledge to join her university in bed went completely viral. That’s how crazy the hype surrounding his recruitment is right now.

One person who recently opted to jump into the fray? Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin.

Last week, Kiffin and his offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. visited Arch’s high school, Isidore Newman, to spend some time with the school’s head football coach Nelson Stewart.

According to college football insider Steve Wiltfong, Kiffin’s visit to check in on Arch went very well.

“It was great to see him,” Stewart told Wiltfong. “Everybody was awfully excited. He’s super personable. Got to talk offense, (Matt) Corral and everything.”

Stewart also seemed impressed with Weis.

“Super sharp, you can see that,” Stewart added. “I got to do some tight end stuff and he had some great information. He was awesome and I think they’re excited coming off a Sugar Bowl.”

Where does all this put Ole Miss in the Arch Manning Sweepstakes? It’s hard to say.

Most have believed for quite some time that Arch’s recruitment was down to five schools. Of that group, two schools alone hold a special place in Arch’s heart and one is the clear leader. One major SEC program is also said to formally be out of the running.

Then this past week, two new programs suddenly entered the equation. And now there’s Ole Miss.

Arch is a spectacular talent. This year he threw for 1,913 yards and 26 touchdowns in 10 outings. He also ran for 381 yards and six touchdowns on the ground. He is the real deal.

Where will the top-ranked 2023 college football prospect in the country ultimately end up? Time will tell.
