Archie Manning Reveals 1 College Coach Arch Really Likes

Arch Manning is the highest ranked quarterback prospect in the country and one of the most highly sought-after young players in the 2023 class.

Currently, the Isidore Newman prospect is said to be considering three programs, with two specifically holding a special place in his heart and one being the clear favorite.

At this juncture, the question of where he will ultimately end up is the biggest in all of high school football recruiting.

This past week, a clue may have emerged.

In a recent conversation with Mark Helm of AL.com, Archie Manning revealed that his grandson is a big fan of Alabama head coach Nick Saban.

“Arch really likes the coaching staff over there,” he said. “He’s familiar with a lot of players. That was fun for him to go. It wasn’t intentional for it be the Ole Miss game to visit Alabama. It was just the weekend his family could get over there.

“They had a good visit. Coach Saban spent some time with him. He really likes coach Saban and likes coach Bill O’Brien, the offensive coordinator.”

This is obviously great news for Alabama, who would love to add someone of Arch’s caliber to the offense in the foreseeable future.

Just a few weeks ago, word emerged that Arch had effectively eliminated one SEC school from contending for his services. The Crimson Tide, meanwhile, are still very much in the hunt for him.

Where will Arch ultimately end up playing when it’s all said and done?

Time will tell.
