The 2022-23 NBA season hasn’t gone according to plan for the Golden State Warriors up to this point.
Coming into the year, the hope was that they would put forth a legitimate effort to defend their title. Thus far, Golden State has looked like one of the worst teams in the league.
Between the physical altercations, James Wiseman’s regression and certain role players growing increasingly frustrated with their role – Stephen Curry has fallen under noticeably more stress as of late.
The frustration continued on Thursday night. In a now-viral sequence, Curry can be seen getting extremely annoyed with one of his teammates over a botched play:

This caught a lot of fans off guard because, normally, Curry is so easy-going. Whereas other guys are always getting mad at teammates and calling them out, the Warriors’ star entire brand is built on his calm demeanor.
The reactions poured in immediately:
not feedin ya bigman gone be the downfall of the team everytime https://t.co/ITKhlIxWad

Wiseman needs to go somewhere else where there’s less pressure. Also he can’t really develop playing 10 minutes a game. And those 10 minutes are brutal for the Warriors chances at winning. This, from yesterday was a very bad sign https://t.co/q3x3PW012R

It will be interesting to see where the Warriors go from here. The team is in major disarray.
Their biggest problem is clear as day, but they also have a lot of little ones that may be tougher to solve.
There is a reason why the front office is signaling that big changes might be on the horizon.
The NBA season is a long one, and there is still time for all parties involved to get back on track.

But at the moment, the defending champs are a mess.
Will they be able to tighten things up in the coming weeks and months?
Time will tell.
