Patrick Mahomes’ younger brother Jackson is no stranger to making headlines.

Although the big story of this past weekend was Patrick’s epic performance against the Arizona Cardinals, Jackson found a way to wiggle his way into the news cycle as well.

It all started with Patrick single-handedly demolishing his opposition on Sunday, recording five touchdowns, zero picks and 360 yards on 30-of-39 passing. The Chiefs wound up walking away with a comfortable 44-21 victory thanks to their quarterback’s superhuman efforts.

That’s when Jackson decided to slide into the spotlight.

Shortly after the score went final, he sent out this tweet:

Social media has never had much of a soft spot for Jackson, and he didn’t endear himself to any critics with that particular message.

The responses came in quickly and mercilessly:

This isn’t the first time in recent months Jackson has embarrassed the Mahomes family in this fashion. His antics from mid-August also left quite the impression, as did efforts to show that he is straightuncomfortable way with the ladies and questionable conduct at a music concert.

Basically – it’s hard to think of a time when Jackson did something that didn’t tick a large segment of the football-watching population off.

Fortunately, it’s not all bad news for the Mahomes clan.

Jackson’s sister-in-law Brittany, Patrick’s wife, stole the show on Sunday with her memorable outfit to bring in the new NFL season.

Whereas Jackson doesn’t seem to be winning over any of his haters, Brittany actually appears to be making some strides in that department.

As the NFL season progresses, it will be interesting to see if Jackson finds a way to become more palatable to fans.

If he doesn’t, this could be a long season for both him and everyone who wants to see less of him.
