The Tampa Bay Buccaneers shocked a lot of people at Super Bowl LV when they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs.
Now that they have a championship, folks are finally putting some respect on the Bucs’ name.
That said, the road to repeating may prove to be difficult. Tampa Bay has some decisions to make when it comes to Shaq Barrett, Lavonte David, Chris Godwin, Rob Gronkowski, and Ndamukong Suh. Of that group, Godwin seems like the piece most likely to depart – leaving a big hole at receiver for quarterback Tom Brady.
Fortunately, there may be a Plan B in place.
During an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up this week, ESPN NFL insider Jeff Darlington suggested a deal that would send Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to Tampa Bay.

“I’m going to say Odell Beckham,” he began.
“I’m going to say that because of the relationship between Tom Brady and Odell, fully understanding that this would take a lot to actually make this happen.

“Keep in mind that Tom Brady did not before the start of this season pitch Jason Licht on the idea of Odell coming down to Tampa despite the fact that those guys would like to play together at some point,” Darlington continued.
“I say this because I can see going into this offseason with Odell being in a situation where he feels more expendable to the Browns than he was last year that perhaps Jason Licht would make the call.”

Beckham’s lack of love for the Browns is a matter of public record. At one point he literally begged opposing squads to trade for him. The 28-year-old has previously been linked to three teams in potential trades, and the Buccaneers make as much sense as a landing spot as any other.
A lot will obviously depend on whether Godwin stays or goes, but if the Bucs lose him – a union between Beckham and Brady would suddenly make a lot more sense.
Brady may be drunk and happy now, but everyone saw how his relationship with the New England Patriots deteriorated when they started limiting his offensive weapons.
