Browns Have Strong Message For Odell Beckham
The Browns have a strong message for Odell Beckham Jr.
That message? Straighten up.
Cleveland traded away a lot of assets to acquire Beckham from the New York Giants last season.
Thus far, the investment has not paid any dividends.
The polarizing wide receiver did not play up to the standard he set in New York in 2019-20, and quarterback Baker Mayfield regressed at least partially as a result of that.
As if the underperformance on the field was not enough, Beckham was also very vocal in his dissatisfaction with his situation in Cleveland.

According to multiple reports, he publicly and loudly begged opposing organizations to trade for him.
Needless to say, the move did not reflect well on the Browns or on Beckham.
Despite a lot of rumors suggesting that Cleveland may move Beckham in the offseason, that does not appear to be in the cards.
Yet.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Browns currently intend on keeping their wide receiver.
But they want to see a different attitude this year.
The organization expects Beckham to be present at OTAs and more commitment from him in all aspects of the game this season.
Beckham underwent surgery to fix a sports hernia issue that ailed him for much of this season, but at the moment that is not expected to hamper his participation in OTAs.
Will the relationship between Beckham and Cleveland ultimately work out?
That remains to be seen.
But it definitely has not gotten off to the start that either party was hoping it would.
