The Houston Texans have a promising young defensive prospect on their hands.
On Sunday, Jan. 31, Phyllis Pena came home from shopping at the store when noticed something bizarre.
According to Click2Houston.com, she spotted a man outside of her house allegedly peeking into the bedroom window of her teenage daughter.
Pena immediately called the police, but before they could arrive to nab him, he reportedly took off running.
Fortunately, the poor guy didn’t know who he was missing with.

Pena, looking like a young J.J. Watt in his prime, filled the gap and took the man in question down with a spectacular tackle.
Thanks to Pena’s quick thinking, police had time to arrive and arrest the perp. He was ultimately charged with “possession of a controlled substance, evading arrest and resisting arrest.”

“The cop fist-bumped me and he was like, ‘Hey, so I heard the Texans are looking for a new linebacker,’” Pena said in an interview. “My kids are my life and just making sure I protect them.”
The Texans are currently in conversations to send DeShaun Watson to one of two teams. Watt, meanwhile, will likely be traded to one of four teams. Once those deals go down and a roster spot opens up, Pena will likely immediately get called up to the pro ranks.
