Vikings Practice Video Leaks Showing JJ McCarthy’s Awful Throws
The Minnesota Vikings selected J.J. McCarthy with the 10th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
While McCarthy enjoyed a lot of team success in college, what with helping win Michigan a National Championship this year and all, he was never the centerpiece of the offense or the program as a whole.
Because of that, understandably, many have wondered how he will adjust to being the guy in Minnesota.
This week, fans got something of an answer to that question when an embarrassing video leaked out of Vikings training camp.

McCarthy is obviously no stranger to being in the headlines. Between his girlfriend’s private vacation photos leaking out and his dad seemingly trying to feel her up at one point, the Vikings QB is used to the limelight.
That said, it doesn’t appear as though fans are totally sold on him as a legitimate NFL quarterback:
What he looked like in most of his college tape, but people wanted pretend that didn’t exist. R.I.P.

Dude did that all throughout the combine. He has a terrible arm.

Big picture, McCarthy will be able to answer a lot of his critics directly with how he ultimately ends up playing.
If he can repeat the run he had at Michigan in terms of winning, a lot of his haters will be silenced. Should the opposite occur, a lot of his critics will feel vindicated.
What sort of NFL player will McCarthy ultimately end up being? Time will tell.
