Danica Patrick’s Response To Aaron Rodgers’ Engagement To Shailene Woodley
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers surprised many people last month when he quietly revealed that he was engaged.
Rodgers made the unexpected revelation while accepting this year’s NFL MVP award.
“It’s an honor to win this award for the third time,” he said at the time. “2020 was definitely a crazy year, filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing memorable moments. 180 straight days of having my nose hairs scraped.
“Playing for very little fans or no stands the entire season, I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career.”
That last tidbit of information, in regards to being engaged, understandably stole the show.
Seeing as Rodgers and actress Shailene Woodley had just gone public with the fact that they were dating, the news came as quite a stunner.
In the aftermath, numerous reports emerged claiming that Rodgers and Woodley were “happy” together despite how inexplicably quickly they seemed to be moving.
This week, a follow-up came out revealing how Rogers’ former girlfriend, Danica Patrick, felt about his looming nuptials.
You will recall, Rodgers and Patrick broke up rather abruptly – and many believed Woodley played a role. A cryptic post by Patrick after the fact only added fuel to the fire.
So how is Patrick handling all this?
“[She] is focused on ‘traveling and working on her podcast [Pretty Intense],’” a source close to her told HollywoodLife.
“[Danica] was in love. She wanted to start a family. She wanted to get married. That didn’t happen. She has grieved about it, but Danica is a tremendously tough woman, and dealing with Aaron is not a part of her future, so she has decided to avoid thinking about him. She is letting the past be the past.”

Although Patrick and Rodgers at one point looked to be speeding towards marriage, ultimately it simply didn’t work out. And given how happy Rodgers repeatedly said he was following the break-up, the decision to part ways was probably the best move for all parties involved.
Will Rodgers’ relationship with Woodley be able to withstanding the trials and tribulations that he and Patrick could not?
Time will tell.
