Truth Emerges About Stabbing Of 49ers Quarterback’s Brother

The truth has emerged about the stabbing of a 49ers quarterback’s brother over the weekend.

On Saturday night, Clayton Beathard was killed in a fatal stabbing in Nashville, Tennessee.

Clayton is the brother of San Francisco backup passer, C.J. Beathard.

According to multiple news reports, Clayton was stabbed after coming to the defense of a woman who was being harassed by someone else in the area.

Nashville police released a mugshot of the suspect behind the stabbing this week.

Officials believe it was someone who had been arrested and subsequently released on an aggravated assault earlier in the month.

“The fatal stabbings appear to have resulted from an argument over a woman that began inside Dogwood Bar and then turned physical when the parties went outside,” police wrote in a press release.

“Multiple persons were involved in the outdoor fight during which the two men were both fatally stabbed in their sides. A third stabbing victim, a 21-year-old man, was treated and released.”

Following news of the incident emerging, C.J. announced that he would be taking a leave of absence from the Niners.

The team’s head coach, Kyle Shanahan, offered somber words regarding what had transpired.

“There’s not much you can say,” Shanahan admitted.

“You just try to hold a person and be there for him. We tried to figure it out, what we could do and the quickest way to get him to his family.

“But that was probably my first time in a situation like that, but I think it’s exactly what anybody would expect. There’s nothing to say, and it’s as tragic and as sad of a thing that can happen.”

Clayton played quarterback at Long Island University and was just 22 years old.
