New England Patriots Signing Big Star
The New England Patriots are signing a big star, it would appear.
Just days after the Carolina Panthers and Greg Olsen agreed to go their separate ways, a new opportunity seems to have presented itself.
Last week, Olsen revealed on social media that his time with Carolina had come to an end.
In the aftermath, many wondered if he may end up with Bill Belichick in New England.
While doing an appearance on the Super Bowl LIV broadcast recently, Olsen suggested that he was “third in line” for the Patriots.
Greg Olsen, when told the Patriots need a tight end on the FOX pregame show: “They’re trying to get Gronk back. If they don’t get him, I’m like third in line.”

Above him on the wish list for New England is reportedly Rob Gronkowski.
“They’re trying to get Gronk back,” he said.
“If they don’t get him, I’m like third in line.”
It is not clear at the moment who the second option ahead of Olsen is.
Last week, NESN reported that a Gronkowski comeback was not as far-fetched as it sounded.
“And honestly, I wouldn’t completely rule out Rob Gronkowski returning if Brady comes back,” the column noted.
“And I know how ridiculous that sounds. I think Brady will need some assurances from the organization to come back to New England.
“That could include re-signing Danny Amendola or incentivizing Gronkowski to return.
“Gronkowski said this week he’s only down to 250 pounds and that he could add his weight back on quickly. Just saying, don’t completely, entirely rule it out.”
If Gronkowski’s return does not go as planned, though, Olsen seems like a great fit for a Patriots squad that needs additional weapons to lure Tom Brady back to the organization.
