Aaron Rodgers Makes Surprising Comment After 49ers Game
Aaron Rodgers made a surprising comment after the 49ers game.
Following San Francisco’s big 37-20 win over Green Bay on Sunday, the losing side’s quarterback was forced to speak to the media.
Rodgers quietly reflected on the season that was and admitted it did not quite end in the way he had hoped it would. He also said that he did not believe the gulf between his team and San Francisco’s was as wide as someone might assume from this game.
“I don’t think it’s that big,” he said.
“I think it’s pretty close. I think we’re just a little bit more consistent performance from playing with these guys.”
Aaron Rodgers acknowledges the pain of the loss, but says of the season: “This one will always be special because (playing football) became fun again.”

It was not all negative for Rodgers, though. He credits this season with one that made him fall in love with football all over again.
“This [season] will always be special, because it became fun again,” he said.
Rodgers finished Sunday’s outing with 326 yards and two scores on 31-of-39 passing. That was the good. The bad, unfortunately, was that he also turned the ball over on four separate occasions.
Seeing as this was only head coach Matt LaFleur’s first year with the Packers, the future looks bright for the team even if it may not feel that way after such a disheartening defeat.
