NBA Fans React To LeBron James Skipping Dwyane Wade’s HOF Ceremony
Dwyane Wade was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame this weekend as part of the 2023 class.
Numerous past Miami Heat teammates showed up to support Wade, including Chris Bosh and Udonis Haslem.
One notable absence, though? Current Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James.
NBA fans tend to be a very vocal bunch, and LeBron’s absence at Wade’s ceremony did not go unnoticed.

While an official answer for why LeBron skipped Wade’s enshrinement into the Hall of Fame has yet to emerge, some believe it might have something to do with Bronny’s recent cardiac arrest scare.
Lebron was at the Mayo Clinic 2 days ago with Bronny, that’s probably why he’s not there.

Given the latest prognosis Bronny received, it would make sense if that is what kept LeBron away.
And it is worth noting that LeBron dedicated a social media post to Wade on Saturday, confirming that there was no ill-will or bad blood there.

That being said, this is becoming a trend for LeBron. He also opted to skip Pau Gasol’s Los Angeles Lakers jersey retirement ceremony earlier in the 2022-23 NBA season.
Unlike Wade, Gasol had a pretty strong reaction to that move.

Wade likely won’t make waves over LeBron’s absence on Saturday, but it definitely didn’t go unnoticed.
Will Wade ultimately make it a point to attend LeBron’s ceremony when he finally retires from the NBA? Time will tell.
