The Los Angeles Lakers got blown out by the Portland Trail Blazers 105-90 on Saturday.
From the first quarter onward LA struggled to gain any semblance of momentum, as evidenced by Russell Westbrook’s stat line of eight points on 1-of-13 shooting, six assists and six turnovers in 29 minutes of action.
LeBron James was out on Saturday with an abdominal strain that turned out to be much more serious than anyone originally realized. However, that didn’t stop him from attending the game. And while he was there, eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice something about him.

It’s hard to argue with the overall assessment of that video. The Lakers are down bad right now.
Westbrook appears to be melting down in plain sight, getting increasingly careless on the court and angry off it. Head coach Frank Vogel has shed his formerly patient demeanor.

Obviously the season is young and everything can change on a dime, but at the moment, it’s hard to see a scenario where the Lakers win a title in 2021-22.
