Dwight Howard has yet to be signed by an NBA team this season, and the future Hall of Famer is getting a bit antsy.
Looking at the league right now, Howard sees multiple landing spots that would make sense.
Despite how things ended between him and the Los Angeles Lakers, the 36-year-old believes he could be an asset a variety of clubs.
This week, during an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s podcast, Howard identified one specific squad he would be a great fit for.

“The [Boston Celtics have] a lot of young talent,” Howard said.
“I feel like I could’ve been a Bill Russell in this era with that team. I’m all about defense and I understand it on a different level.”
Of course, it’s also worth remembering that Howard recently made a very similar case to another NBA team.
Clearly the man desperately wants a job.
When it came to signing with the Golden State Warriors, Howard offered a slightly modified pitch.
“I’m Dwight Howard,” he said.
“[James] Wiseman can learn so much from me because he’s headed in that direction of being a great big man.”
Howard didn’t stop there, though.
“Steph [Curry], the way he get open with me setting screens, he’s gonna get more wide open,” he continued.
“Klay [Thompson] the same way. Draymond [Green] in the pick-and-roll me and him. Me being able to teach Wiseman defense, how to block shots…”
It will be interesting to see if anyone ultimately takes a chance on Howard. If not, he likely has a great media career in front of him

That will serve him well when he does eventually make the jump to sports media full-time.
When will that actually happen, though? When will he call it for good on his career?
Time will tell.
