Embarrassing Video Of Ex-Texas Coach Tom Herman Emerges
The Tom Herman Era of Texas football was not its finest.
In four years of leading the Longhorns, Herman amassed an overall record of 32-18 and peaked in his second season. It was all downhill from there, with a new humiliation at every turn.
Finally, in 2021, Texas gave Herman his walking papers on Jan. 2.
Sadly Herman is still finding new and unique ways to embarrass the Longhorns even though he’s long gone now.
This week, linebacker DeMarvion Overshown posted a video to TikTok showing Herman singing a Justin Bieber song in an attempt to recruit him. The visual largely speaks for itself:

Yikes.
Obviously Overshown is a stud. He recorded 74 tackles, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, two quarterback hurries, two pass break ups and one blocked kick last year. The numbers speak for themselves. But Jesus – you have to have some pride. This is how a real coach recruits.
Now, to be clear – obviously Year 1 of the Steve Sarkisian Era didn’t go great either. And that was before the racial discrimination controversy. But at least he has recruited well this past offseason. Presently he seems to be well-positioned to nab the top high school prospect in the nation.

Herman was an unmitigated disaster through and through, though. There’s no salvaging that in the history books.
But hey, at least he had a sweet swinging voice.
