Collin Sexton Gets Brutally Honest About Stephen Curry (Video)

Cleveland Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton is one of the league’s more intriguing young stars. There’s a reason why the team’s coaching staff is constantly in awe of his skill set and why so many teams are interested in acquiring him.

That said, even he isn’t above getting roasted by the league’s best point guard.

Sexton is the first to admit that.

During a recent interview, he got brutally honest about the impact Curry has on any given game.

“I remember a few games. I think I was playing Warriors or something. It was just like a bad game, it was like you get cooked out there… There ain’t nothing you can do.”

A lot of folks would agree with Sexton on that sentiment. Shaquille O’Neal said something very similar recently.

Of course, it’s not a unanimous opinion.

Just a few weeks ago, Curry’s former teammate Kevin Durant offered an interesting contrarian take. Naturally, it stirred up a bit of drama.

Curry’s impact on the league aside, Sexton himself has been in the news a lot in recent weeks as well. Between his teammates getting tired of his antics and his subsequent response to them, trade chatter regarding him has become inescapable. At this point, a deal seems imminent – with one team appearing to be a likelier candidate than most.

If Sexton does get moved to a situation where he can develop a little more, it’ll be interesting to keep an eye on his future battles with Curry.

On paper, he has all the skills necessary to be an elite guard in the league. And if Sexton ever lives up to that potential – he could give a Curry a run for his money.

Will that day ever actually come, though? Time will tell.
