Nebraska was mocked by Colorado after the latest Scott Frost loss on the Huskers’ record.
Colorado defeated Nebraska 34-31 on Saturday in what was indisputably the most fun game on the docket this weekend.
The Buffaloes trailed by 24 points in the fourth quarter, only to come back and tie things up and force it into overtime.

In overtime, the Huskers would go on to miss a potential game-tying field goal to fall to 1-1 on the year.
Colorado now moves to 2-0 for the season.

After the game, Colorado quarterback Steven Montez took the opportunity to take some shots the losing side.
Montez: “You guys saw all those crazy quotes (Nebraska was) putting out in the week and I think they talked themselves right out of it. Before the coin toss they were talking trash. They were spitting at the bottom of piles so they got what was coming to them.”

Montez didn’t just talk a big game, though.
He showed up in this one.
He ultimately completed 28-of-41 passes for 375 yards and two touchdowns.
Nebraska entered this season with a lot of hype – something that has becoming a reoccurring problem in the Frost Era.
It just sets expectations too high.
Some even suggested they could compete for the conference title this year.
After a very lackluster Week 1 debut the big talk simmered a bit, but obviously not enough.
It remains to be seen if Nebraska can turn things around this year, but if they can’t, you have to figure Frost’s seat will become even hotter than it is now.
