Texas QB Sam Ehlinger can turn to his girlfriend Molly Parken for support after losing to LSU 45-38 on Saturday.

Ehlinger and his Longhorns put up a valiant effort at home but were ultimately outdated by LSU quarterback Joe Burrow.

Burrow put went 31-of-39, passing for 471 yards and four touchdowns in what was unarguably the best game of his career.

Ehlinger went 31-of-47, passing for 401 yards and four touchdowns. He also ran for 60 yards and one touchdown on the ground.

Although LSU is obviously one of the most notable teams in the SEC, as you can tell by the score, this was a Big 12 game in every possible way.

LSU’s offense racked up 575 yards when it was all said and done.

Devin Duvernay did what he could to help Ehlinger keep up with the Tigers, but it ultimately was not enough.

Duvernay finished with 12 receptions for 154 yards and two touchdowns.

Although the loss was obviously a disappointing one for Ehlinger and Texas, the star quarterback can take solace in the fact that at least he has the love and support of those who care about him.

  1. What a battle! Like a heavyweight fight boom boom boom back and forth all game. Texas not out of National Playoff spot. Lots will happen with other teams.
