Auburn Cheerleader Lindsay Shiver Arrested

An Auburn cheerleader was arrested recently in the Bahamas in connection with an alleged murder plot against her husband.
Lindsay Shiver, who served as a Tigers cheerleader in the early 2000s, has been accused of plotting to kill her estranged husband, Robert Shiver.
Robert was an Auburn long snapper for a two-year span between 2006 and 2008, before trying to make a career for himself in the NFL. He was briefly signed to the Atlanta Falcons in 2009 before being cut prior to the season commencing.
Lindsay and Robert met in school and wed. They have several children together and, by the look of things, spent a ton of time in the Bahamas.
According to the Bahamas Court News, Lindsay and her purported lover Terrance Bethel allegedly plotted to kill Robert.
Bethel apparently involved a third person, and then all three were busted during an investigation into an unrelated crime.
“Local police unearthed texts that detailed the plot while they searched the phone of a suspected burglar at Grabber’s Bar and Grill in Great Guana Cay in the Bahamas earlier this month,” the New York Post reported.
Robert and Lindsay are said to own a house in the Bahamas, near where she met Bethel, a person with details about the case told the Thomasville Times-Enterprise.

The same report noted that when Robert discovered the affair, he filed for divorce.
Auburn has obviously been in the news quite a bit over the past year. Between the Hugh Freeze hiring, the troubling DMs a student claimed he sent her, and all the general controversy that accompanies him – the move was met with some backlash.
Before that was Bryan Harsin and all the chitchat about whether he did or didn’t have an affair with his assistant.

But obviously nothing quite rises to the level of what happened with the Shiver clan.
In the coming weeks and months, details will likely emerge on what precisely happened between Lindsay and Robert. When that occurs, the hope is that all parties involved get the justice they deserve.
