Colin Cowherd offers a surprising take on Michigan and Texas in a recent tweet.
Coming into this week there were a lot of questions surrounding how the Wolverines and Longhorns would close out the season.
Both had entered the year with a lot of very high expectations and conference championship hopes, and ultimately neither team was able to live up to the expectations.
Michigan ultimately ended their regular season with a disappointing loss to Ohio State, whereas Texas defeated Texas Tech to finish with an underwhelming 7-5 mark.
In his tweet, Cowherd noted that Michigan and Texas actually have a lot in common.
Harbaugh will have 10 W’s if they win a bowl. That’s what Michigan is/has been forever. It’s Texas football, just North. Great school, cool tradition, legendary players, 👍 college town, one natty in 25 yrs and it’s primary rival (OSU & Oklahoma) is simply historically superior.

Just based on the facts, it is tough to argue with Cowherd’s assessment of where both programs are at.
