Colby Covington Makes Serious Allegation Against LeBron James

Fresh off his recent loss to UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, many wondered if a more calm and restrained Colby Covington would emerge. Someone humbled by repeated losses at the highest level.

The answer to that question appears to be a resounding no.

Covington was back up to his old tricks this week, taking aim at one of his favorite targets: LeBron James.

During a recent interview, Covington made a serious allegation against James.

The claim? That the Lakers star puts police lives in jeopardy.

“They got targets on their back because woke athletes like LeBron James, who you know, just, you know, want to put targets on these innocent people’s lives, lives on their heads, you know,” he said. “And these are the same people he calls to protect his family and give him private security. So, it just shows the hypocrisy.”

Covington didn’t stop there, though. He also took aim at James over his ‘I Promise’ school, which he claims is a tax avoidance scheme.

“I wasn’t going to let him dupe the people and make the people think he’s a social justice warrior and he’s on this pedestal,” Covington continued.

“No, LeBron James is not on a pedestal. That guy is a piece of crap. He’s a piece of garbage. He uses that school that he’s funding as a tax write off and then he wants to claim that he’s some good guy. No, he’s not a good guy, man. All he cares about is lining his own pockets and bowing down to China.”

James’ ties to China, obviously, have led to multiple incidents over the past week. There was his memorable confrontation with a fellow NBA player, as well as the bullying his son, Bronny, was subjected to at a high school game.

Big picture, it’s safe to say that Covington and James will likely never be friends. Between the former’s shots at the latter regarding his mother and his general way of carrying himself, a line has been crossed that can simply never be uncrossed.
