Zach Wilson’s Mom Lisa Reacts To Jets’ Aaron Rodgers Trade

Zach Wilson’s Mom Lisa Reacts To Jets’ Aaron Rodgers Trade

Zach Wilson’s mom, Lisa, reacted to the New York Jets’ massive Aaron Rodgers trade on Monday afternoon.

After weeks of back-and-forth negotiations, the Green Bay Packers agreed to send Rodgers to the Big Apple in return for the Jets’ Nos. 13, 42 and 207 picks in this year’s draft, plus a conditional 2024 second-rounder.

The conditional second-rounder turns into a first-rounder if Rodgers participates in at minimum 65 percent of New York’s snaps throughout the 2023-24 season.

In addition to Rodgers, the Jets also got the No. 15 selection in this year’s draft as well the 170th pick in the fifth round.

Up until this move was made, Zach was listed on the depth chart as the likeliest starter for New York. Obviously the arrival of a future Hall of Famer changes that.

How did Zach’s very outspoken mom react to the trade? Lisa immediately took to social media.

Based on that, it seems clear that Lisa is looking at this move as a positive for her son. She clearly believes Rodgers will serve as a mentor to him, and given that she thinks they are very similar, it is easy to see why.

Lisa is obviously no stranger to making news in her own right. Between her plastic surgery confessions, ‘sexy birthday parties and memorable outfits to his games, she is a permanent fixture in the headlines.

In that respect, her finding a way to weigh in on the Rodgers trade is unsurprising.

Big picture, it will be interesting to see if Lisa’s prediction ends up being true.

Zach came into last year with a lot of hype and momentum. Off the field he had the model girlfriend and ladies’ man reputation, on it he seemed to have the raw skills necessary for success. Everyone wanted him to turn into the sort of quarterback the Jets envisioned him being when they spent a top draft pick on him.

Unfortunately, he just couldn’t live up to the franchise player expectations that were set for him – hence the front office having to go out and make this move.

Will Rodgers end up being the sort of mentor for Zach that Lisa envisions he will be? Time will tell.
