Ugly Incident Involving St. Bonaventure Cheerleader Occurs (Video)
March Madness is the greatest time of the year in college basketball. It fully commenced this past week, and while it has largely been behind a bevy of fun moments, it was also responsible for a particularly ugly incident.
This past Friday, Saint Louis beat St. Bonaventure 57-56 in the Atlantic 10 men’s basketball tournament.
Unfortunately, the final outcome wasn’t what stole the show.
Rather, it was an altercation between a St. Bonaventure cheerleader, a coach and a player.
Video from the encounter largely speaks for itself:
What looks like a Bonnie cheerleader and coach has just stormed over to the Billikens players flipping them off. Wild. pic.twitter.com/LFVPyRCfKV

Afterward, the cheerleader took to Twitter to explain what had truly transpired:
This was after he looked me dead in the eyes, an innocent cheerleader, and told me to “shut the f*** up b****” embarrassing https://t.co/0NAR6FHnST

Reactions poured in immediately:
It’s so pathetic that men go out of their way to tell women that “your team lost”, “you’re a cheerleader the game isn’t about you”, or “you’re a woman”. It’s about being a decent human being. Men, be better. Fucking pathetic. https://t.co/RaG4siot1q

We need to talk ab the abuse that sideline cheerleaders take from players (their team and the opposing alike) from the time they start little league. This is gross & def not the first time for any of these girls https://t.co/Da1TzAfHzx

One day after the incident unfolded, Saint Louis got shellacked by Davidson in the tourney. They’ll next play in the NIT Tournament as a No. 3 seed, taking on No. 6 ranked Northern Iowa on Thursday.
The Bonnies, meanwhile, will go into the NIT Tournament as a No. 5 seed and will take on No. 4 ranked Colorado on Wednesday.
This has been a rough year for college athletics as a whole. Between an ESPN cameraman randomly opting to zoom in on cheerleader butts during coverage, star quarterbacks getting exposed for their foot fetishes, coaches and their potential affairs and an SEC reporter being condemned for her overly “exposing” clothing — it has been one issue after another.

The hits just keep coming.
What will college sports go viral for next?
Time will tell.
