New Video Shows Anthony Joshua, Francis Ngannou KO Was Rigged
A new video seems to show that Anthony Joshua’s memorable knockout over Francis Ngannou was rigged.
Coming into this bout, Joshua obviously had the experience advantage over his foe. Particularly in boxing matches.
That said, Ngannou’s strong showing against Tyson Fury in his previous match made it seem like this particular fight would be a close one.
Ahead of the fight, Ngannou seemed far more distracted than he was for the Fury bout. There is a reason his answer regarding his bedroom preferences when it comes to women went so viral. He was almost uncharacteristically open with the media.
Unfortunately, it seems as though Ngannou came into the Joshua fight far less prepared than last time. Not only did he get dropped in the first round, but he subsequently got knocked out cold in the second:

So did Ngannou simply get outclassed? Well, that is a matter of debate.
Eagle-eyed fans at home couldn’t help but notice a video that showed a different angle of the Ngannou KO. In it, they saw something suspicious:
It’s how he bends his knee that doesn’t sit well with me. That’s not what an unconscious person does. #JoshuaNgannou

Reactions to the observation were mixed:

Combat sports are a brutal game. There is a reason the headlines stemming from it are things like female UFC fighters’ racy outfit choices and their intimate videos leaking out.
It is unlike any other form of sports.

Ngannou learned that lesson the hard way this week.
Rigged or not, Ngannou will be back. Who will he fight next, though? Time will tell.
