Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is in the midst of serious marital problems with his wife Gisele Bundchen.
Although neither side has officially filed for divorce yet, both have reportedly spoken to lawyers.
With a split seemingly increasingly likely by the day, troubling new details about Brady and Bundchen’s relationship have started to emerge.
This week some of the pair’s friends expressed how much they “hate” the way he has treated her.
“Gisele and Tom’s friends are upset at Tom for going back on his word and coming out of retirement,” a source told Us Weekly. “They hate the way Tom is refusing to bend for Gisele.”
This aligns with previous reporting on the matter which suggested that Bundchen had reached a particularly frustrating impasse with her beau. They seemed to have agreed that he would call it quits last summer. Which he did – before promptly un-retiring.
In the aftermath, a lot of troubling details have leaked out. Everything from the pair’s woes in the bedroom to Brady’s troubling behavior afterward has fallen under a magnifying glass.
That said, friends still believe the situation is salvageable. If both parties choose to salvage it, that is.
“Tom and Gisele are still not seeing eye to eye regarding his retirement,” another source told Us Weekly. “They are currently living in separate houses, but continue to communicate.”
And that communication is why friends remain hopeful that this isn’t the end of the marriage.
“This was really the first big issue they’ve had in their marriage,” a source added. “Friends are hoping they aren’t past the point of no return.”
Mind you, friends have said in the past that blow-ups like this occurred between Brady and Bundchen.
“I never actually thought this argument would be the end of them,” an insider told Page Six some weeks back.
It will be interesting to see how this situation ultimately unfolds. Brady’s Buccaneers teammates have made it no secret that they are over the drama, mocking him and laughing at him behind his back.
It would do a lot for his credibility and focus to figure out a way to resolve this situation with his wife and move forward.

But at the moment, it doesn’t look like that is going to happen.
Will Brady and Bundchen be able to find alignment on how to proceed at some point in the foreseeable future?
Time will tell.
