Is Stefon Diggs getting traded to the New England Patriots or New York Giants?

That is the question on the minds of football fans across New England and New York following the star wide receiver’s recent social media posts.

Diggs, 25, is one of the best young wide receivers in the NFL – but the Minnesota Vikings as presently constructed are not allowing him to flourish.

This time last year, Diggs had racked up a pair of 100-yard receiving games versus the Green Bay Packers and the Los Angeles Rams.

By now he had been targeted 44 times, recorded 27 receptions and 311 yards through Minnesota’s first four outings of the year.

This year, aside from one big game against the Chicago Bears in which he recorded 13 catches for 209 yards, Diggs has been largely excluded from the offense.

Why the big change?

Well, it appears that Mike Zimmer has really embraced the idea of being a run-first offense.

While that may prove to be a good long-term strategy for Minnesota, it has clearly left Diggs displeased.

This week, Diggs posted several social media posts that made it seem like him getting traded was inevitable – and that New England is where he would end up.

It remains to be seen.

But generally speaking, when wide receivers start asking to get moved – more often than not they get what they asked for.
