Steelers Lose Star Ahead Of Ravens Game

The Steelers lost a star ahead of Sunday’s Ravens game.

Last year James Connor emerged as one of Pittsburgh’s brightest stars.

In his first season with the organization he recorded 1,470 yards from scrimmage and 13 touchdowns. Along the way, he firmly established himself as the team’s starter going forward.

Unfortunately, this year has not been as kind to Connor.

Plagued by injuries all season long, he has only played in 10 games up to this point. In those outings he has recorded 464 rushing yards and four scores on the ground, along with 251 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.

Last week in a loss to the New York Jets he only played in nine snaps.

According to the Steelers, Connor will not have the opportunity to redeem himself in Week 17.

The team has officially listed him as out for the Baltimore game.

Fortunately for Pittsburgh, the Ravens will also be without some talent come Sunday.

The team announced that it would be resting MVP-frontrunner Lamar Jackson in anticipation of the playoffs.

If the Steelers win on Sunday and the Houston Texans beat the Tennessee Titans, they will earn the sixth and final playoff spot in the AFC.

Should Pittsburgh lose, the team can still get into the postseason if Houston wins, the Indianapolis Colts beat the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Denver Broncos beat the Oakland Raiders.

  1. Tomlin, it is time to move on. Pittsburgh Steelers is my team for life. Owner/Gen Mgr. Has you strapped down. Ben the best you. Ex-player WR Star Brown isn’t humble and his career is wash now. He should had listened to his wife, team mates and respect head coaching staff. Dumb as a box of rocks. Ex-player RN Bell isn’t is the 2nd being Brown. Took one full season not player for the Best NFL in the league because franchise & money. Humble up brother. Too late now, because career is a wash. Both of these super should write a book together and help educate young players to leave Ego’s and Pride in a cereal box. Tomlin, Washington Redskins is going to give freedom to run it you’re way. Do it and keep it moving to another Championship Team. Our Steelers needs to release all QB’s and play Ben 1/2 on 1/2 off like Ohio State Buckeyes did in the past.
Utilize your young WR Star or trade him. This last on 12/28/2019 was the worst game from Hell I have witnessed in my 55 years living. A complete Train Wreck… Much love Ken Roberts, Dayton, Ohio
