Philadelphia Eagles Signing Larry Warford To Replace Brandon Brooks
The Philadelphia Eagles are signing Larry Warford to replace Brandon Brooks, it appears.
Brooks revealed that he had injured his ACL in a tweet on Monday afternoon. His injury leaves the Eagles with a gaping hole at guard that must be addressed in some capacity.
Warford seems like an obvious replacement candidate. The 29-year-old was originally selected in the third round by the Detroit Lions, but did not really thrive until signing with the New Orleans Saints.
With the Saints, Warford made three consecutive Pro Bowls. Unfortunately, he was ultimately released back in March and is now looking for a new home.
The Kentucky product is said to be looking for a contract in the $7 million range.
Based on the fact that Philly now desperately needs to shore up its offensive line, picking up Warford seems like something of a no-brainer.
