Family Of 5-Year-Old Injured By Andy Reid’s Son Britt Reid Reacts To Pardon
The family of a 5-year-old girl injured in a car accident by Andy Reid’s son, Britt Reid, spoke out this week.
In February of 2021 Britt was involved in a car accident that left a 5-year-old girl with “brain damage.”
Britt was tried for operating a vehicle under the influence, with police reports noting a “serum blood alcohol concentration” two hours after the crash of 0.113 percent. That is more than the legal limit of 0.08 percent. Britt, for his part, was upfront about the number of alcoholic drinks he insisted he had prior to the crash.
Following the accident the 5-year-old victim “spent more than a week in a coma as a result of her injuries.” She could not “walk, eat or talk” properly after the crash.
This weekend, it was announced that Britt had his sentence commuted by Missouri governor Mike Parsons. The story flew under the radar because of Antonio Brown posting Gisele Bundchen’s intimate pictures and Baker Mayfield’s wife posted photos with no shirt on, but understandably the girl’s family is pretty upset.

“The family is disgusted, I am disgusted, and I believe … that the majority of the people in the state of Missouri are disgusted by the governor’s actions,” attorney Tom Porto told the Daily Beast.
“If you drink and drive and you put a little girl in a coma… you should have to serve the entire sentence that a judge of this state gave you.”

The 5-year-old’s mother then released a statement of her own.
“How would the governor feel if this was his daughter? … It seems the laws don’t apply equally to the haves and have nots. The haves get favors. The have nots serve their sentence,” she said.
Any family would be upset over what transpired here, so it makes sense that the reactions are as dramatic as they are.
