A Miami Dolphins fan who went viral over the weekend was finally identified late Saturday evening.
Earlier in the day, ahead of the 2023-24 NFL season kicking off, a young woman began to trend on social media.
The woman, who posted under the social media handle Hailey Lopez, set the internet ablaze with a fairly innocuous message.
“Go Dolphins,” she wrote.

Understandably, because she looked the way she looked – Dolphins fans lost it.
They and fans of other squads from around the league flocked to social media to weigh in.

So who is Hailey Lopez? According to Barstool Sports, she doesn’t actually exist.
The popular sports site has identified Lopez as an AI creation and suggested that its creator replicate this successful Dolphins fan identity for every team in the league.

This is going to be a big year for Miami, fake Dolphins fans or not. The AFC East is far more competitive than it was in 2022, but Tagovailoa is finally healthy and allegedly knows how to not get concussed now.
One way or another, the 2023-24 campaign will be a defining one for the Dolphins. Will this be the year the franchise returns to some semblance of respectability? Time will tell.
