Cowboys Issue Unexpected Dak Prescott Health Update
The Cowboys issued an unexpected Dak Prescott health update on Wednesday.
Coming out of last week’s disappointing loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas no longer controls its own destiny.
In order to make the playoffs, the Cowboys need to win against the Dwayne Haskins-less Washington Redskins and then have the Eagles lose to the New York Giants.
It is certainly not a totally insane sequence of events, but it will require a bit of luck.
One other thing it will require is a healthy Prescott, which it would appear they currently do not have.
Prescott was in the midst of a career-best year in the pros when he was bitten by the injury bug.
Between a hurt finger and an injured shoulder, he was clearly not the same quarterback versus Philadelphia that he was in prior weeks.
This week, Dallas head coach (for now) Jason Garrett addressed the media on his quarterback’s health.
Prescott is continuing to do a minimal amount of practicing, opting instead to focus on recovery.
Jason Garrett said he did not anticipate Dak Prescott practicing much if at all today because of a sprained right shoulder but the quarterback was able to go through the walkthrough. “Last week we took it day by day and this week we’ll do the same… https://t.co/KcLMwb0ope

“Last week we took it day by day and this week we’ll do the same thing,” Garrett announced.
“Obviously he was able to play in the ballgame so hopefully he’ll get on the same path where he is able to go on Sunday.”
Another update on Prescott’s status will likely come a little later this week. Obviously Dallas will need him as close as possible to 100 percent if the team hopes to have any shot at making the playoffs.
