Deebo Aiyuk trade rumors are back, and this time the destination makes way too much sense. Reports have been building that Aiyuk wants to end up in Washington playing with his former Arizona State teammate Jayden Daniels. That kind of story writes itself.
Wait, small correction on the college part. Aiyuk went to Arizona State. Daniels went to Arizona State and then LSU. The two overlapped in Tempe and built the kind of rapport that translates into serious on-field chemistry. That is exactly the situation NFL teams look for when they scout a receiver-quarterback pairing.
The Commanders have made no secret of their aggressive offseason approach. They built their whole roster construction around maximizing the Daniels era. Adding a proven Pro Bowl receiver who has real chemistry with their quarterback would be the natural next step.
