Stephen Curry and Kyrie Irving are two of the best point guards of their generation.
Each man has won at least one championship, and both bring unique skillsets to the table that are unmatched by their peers.
Naturally, this has led to a pretty common question: who is the most skilled of the two?
Not long ago, Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups referred to Irving as the most skilled point guard to ever play the game.
Chauncey Billups: “Kyrie is a wizard, man. He’s must see TV. I personally think, as somebody who played the position, I think Kyrie’s the most skilled player ever to play that position.”

This week, Nash was asked for his thoughts on the topic. His comments were pretty surprising.
“Yeah it’s hard to argue,” Nash said (via Sporting News). “There’s others in the conversation. Obviously, Steph is incredibly skilled but just so deadly from long range in a variety of ways. But as far as the ball-handling, the movement, getting to his spots and shooting at all 3 levels, around the rim, (Kyrie is) off the charts, getting to the midrange he’s off the charts, and he’s excellent from deep as well.”
That is certainly high praise.
This isn’t the first time the topic of who is the superior point guard between Curry and Irving has come up.
Nets star Kevin Durant weighed in on the matter not long ago – raising many eyebrows in the process.

Big picture, both Curry and Irving have a very unique set of skills that place them in the upper echelon of all-time point guards. Who is truly tops when it comes to skill level?
That’s a matter of personal opinion.
