Seth Curry Honestly Compares Himself To Stephen Curry

Seth Curry Honestly Compares Himself To Stephen Curry

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 115-103 on Sunday.

Key in the victory was the contribution of Philly sharpshooter, Seth Curry. He ultimately recorded 28 points on 7-of-10 shooting for the night.

After the fact, Seth spoke to the media and revealed that his scoring explosions were much different than the ones his brother, Stephen Curry, is known for.

“I was getting good shots,” Seth said, per ESPN. “It wasn’t like I was 18 dribbles, half-court, 40-footers. It wasn’t like I was like on a Steph-type streak. I was finding good shots.”

Beyond just finding good shots, Seth also successfully killed OKC’s momentum during a late run.

“They were on a big run,” he continued. “It got kind of loud in there for a second. We needed to kind of stop the run. Once we broke the press, Tobias (Harris) found me in the corner and I just took my time, set my feet and shot it like any other shot. Just one of those that you step into with confidence, and it was a big shot to kind of close the game out.”

Across the way, Stephen finished with 27 points on 9-of-23 shooting in a win against the Sacramento Kings. Both brothers are off to a great start so far this season.

Interestingly enough, this was a summer of turmoil for the Curry family. Seth and Stephen’s parents, Dell and Sonya, abruptly announced their intentions to divorce just a few months ago. Tawdry allegations of cheating followed. Kids were forced to take sides. It was brutal.

Fortunately, it doesn’t look like Seth and Stephen are going to let their family’s off-the-court woes bother them on it. Both brothers are set to have a fantastic 2021-22 campaign. Who will ultimately have the better one? Time will tell.
