Rihanna’s Tribute To LeBron James Breaking NBA Scoring Record

Rihanna has made it no secret that she is one of LeBron James’ biggest fans. Throughout his stints with various organizations, her loyalty to the arguably greatest of all-time has remained consistent.

When James won a title with the Miami Heat, Rihanna celebrated as well.

When he won with the Cleveland Cavaliers? She loved that, too.

Rain or shine, Rihanna has always had James’ back.

In that spirit, it should surprise no one that when James finally broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s legendary mark for most points in NBA history, Rihanna couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pay tribute to her favorite player.

Obviously there are a lot of celebrities who claim to be fans of certain athletes, but the way Rihanna has followed James throughout the entirety of his career is pretty epic. She is a legit fan – no ands, ifs or ors about it.

This has been a hectic week for James and the Lakers. It started with a strange encounter between him and a female fan, saw him not be able to team up with Kyrie Irving the way he wanted to and then ended with him etching his name into NBA lore.

The Lakers now have roughly 24 hours to make something happen ahead of the trade deadline. The team’s ‘Plan B’ after missing out on Irving is a matter of public record, as are all the realistic options out there for them at this point as it pertains to a potential deal.

James gave Rihanna something to cheer about on Tuesday night amidst a very disappointing year. He has done his part to keep the 2022-23 NBA season as interesting as it can be.

With the Lakers finally get him some help this week? Time will tell.
