Popovich Offers Surprising Take On Kyle Kuzma And Lakers
Gregg Popovich offers a surprising take on Kyle Kuzma and the Lakers in a new interview.
Popovich, 70, was speaking to the media this week when he was asked about his Team USA player, Kuzma, getting injured.
Kuzma has been ruled out indefinitely by Los Angeles after getting hurt while playing with Team USA at the FIBA World Cup.

The young Lakers star played in just one August exhibition game before being forced to sit out the rest of the summer.
As it stands, Kuzma has not been cleared for full practice or game participation.

“Kyle Kuzma is progressing with his rehabilitation from an injury (stress reaction, left foot) that occurred while he was with USA Basketball,” the team wrote in a statement.

“He has not been cleared for full practice or game participation. He is scheduled for an MRI when the team returns from China, and a status update will be given at that time.”
Popovich expressed sympathy for Kuzma when asked about the matter during a recent interview.
“Young energetic guy who was really learning and could play a lot of positions for us,” he said.

Kuzma averaged 18.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists last year.
