Shams Charania Reveals Truth About Burner NBA Twitter Account

Shams Charania is one of the two best NBA reporters in the world today.

A few weeks ago, he found himself embroiled in something of a messy situation when fans thought they uncovered his NBA Twitter burner account.

Understandably, it caused a bit of a stir.

During a recent appearance on Pac McAfee’s show, Charania gave his side of the story.

“Yeah, Pat,” he said sarcastically.

“I’m doing my own work right now with The Athletic, Stadium and FanDuel, reporting and doing all my news, then yes. On the side, I’m also somehow putting out 500 tweets a day, aggregating news, and also getting a million followers on Twitter.”

Charania then decided to put it even more bluntly.

“Yeah, I definitely have the time and the energy to do all that,” he said.

“Unfortunately, I don’t have the time or the juice. Unfortunately, that isn’t me, but listen, shoutout to that account, they do a good job as far as when they aggregate information, they always check to make sure they’re aggregating it in the right way.

“That’s really what happened that day, so shoutout to them, but unfortunately, I don’t have the time or the juice to do all that but I appreciate everyone online thinking that I have the time and strength and manpower to do all that.”

Make of that what you will.

Charania is usually a news breaker, but in recent weeks he has turned into something of a news maker.

Between the burner account scandal and him openly flirting with Kay Adams on air, it has been one thing after another.

What will the prominent NBA insider ultimately blow up for online next?

Time will tell.
