Luka Doncic’s Reaction To LeBron James, Kyrie Irving Encounter
Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving both found themselves drafted by LeBron James for this year’s NBA All-Star Game.
That said, although they both ended up on the same squad, the way the selections were made led to a couple of hilarious moments on Sunday.
It started with James picking Irving. When the Los Angeles Lakers star chose his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate, eagle-eyed NBA fans couldn’t help but notice Doncic’s reaction.
The pictures were worth a thousand words:

NBA Twitter was howling at the way Doncic’s face looked.
The reactions to it were priceless.

But it didn’t stop there. Up next, James went with Doncic. Only the way he called him out was quite unique.

All-Star Game fun times notwithstanding, it will be fascinating to see how the rest of the season plays out. Obviously Doncic and Irving haven’t gotten off to a great start as partners. The latter attempted to explain why this weekend, but his rationale left something to be desired.
The Mavs envisioned Irving and Doncic having the sort of partnership that existed between Doncic and Jalen Brunson last year. That hasn’t materialized yet. Whether it ever will or not remains to be seen.
The Lakers’ fortunes are similarly up in the air. They went under a complete team reconstruction at the NBA Trade Deadline. Time will tell if this version of the roster will fare better any better than the last one, but it’s hard to see how it could be any worse.

L.A. is currently one of five teams in the hunt for John Wall, and getting him would certainly go a long way in bolstering their offensive firepower down the stretch.
The second half of the NBA season will ultimately be very interesting to watch.
Will James, Doncic and Irving eventually get to the playoffs and be able to do anything of note there? Time will tell.
