The incredibly hot Washington Wizards defeated the Dallas Mavericks 120-114 on Saturday.
With the loss the latter squad fell to 10-8 on the year while the former rose to 13-7.
Currently, Washington is tied for second place in the Eastern Conference with the Miami Heat – one game back of the Brooklyn Nets for the top spot.
Understandably, the Wizards are really feeling themselves right now. That dynamic was on full display this weekend courtesy of recently-acquired forward, Kyle Kuzma.
With under two minutes remaining in Saturday’s game and the score knotted at 109, Kuzma got a pass late in the shot clock and nailed a much needed go-ahead three pointer.
Immediately after, he turned to the Mavericks bench and offered them a three-word message: “I told you.”

Kuzma would go on to score 22 points and grab nine rebounds in the winning effort.
Big picture, Kuzma is having a tremendous season after struggling mightily last year in his final campaign with the Los Angeles Lakers. He has gone at length about how happy he is to be out of LA and his enjoyment of this Wizards group, so his boldness is really no surprise at all.

Kuzma seems to have found the perfect spot for him in D.C.
Where will his career go from here? Time will tell.
