The Miami Heat defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 115-109 on Wednesday evening.
With the win Miami improved to 24-15 on the year, while Portland dropped to 14-23.
Interestingly enough, the most fascinating thing to occur in this outing wasn’t actually game-related.
Rather, it was a tiff between Blazers big man Jusuf Nurkic and Heat guard Tyler Herro.
As seen in the video, both parties are guilty of doing something wrong in this instance. Herro is at fault for taking a hard but clean screen personally. Nurkic, meanwhile, was wrong for his open-handed punch-thing after Herro shoved him.
But the beef didn’t die there.
After the game, Nurkic issued an ominous threat to Herro in the form of a retweet on Twitter.
This has been a particularly contentious NBA season thus far. Between what happened with the Jokic brothers and Morris brothers and now this – clearly everyone is feeling very feisty.

Herro came into this season with a lot of question marks surrounding his game. Both his teammates and the front office publicly pointed out that he had some serious flaws he needed to address. And to his credit – he has. But this is the last distraction or headache he needed.
The best case scenario here is for both Herro and Nurkic to move on and forget this ugly ordeal ever happened.
