Austin Reaves, Taylor Swift Dating Rumors Intensify

Austin Reaves of the Los Angeles Lakers and internationally renowned pop star Taylor Swift found themselves linked in the headlines this week.

It all began with news that Swift had reportedly split from her current beau, musician Matty Healy.

The pair was a nonstop fixture in the news cycle over the past month following Swift’s split from Joe Alwyn, whom she had been with for six years prior to that.

Enter: Reaves.

On Monday, reports began to circulate that Reaves and Swift were spotted at a bar together.

Given Reaves’ growing profile among both basketball and non-basketball fans, this was obviously viewed as huge news.

Folks flocked to social media to react.

It got so big that even Reaves’ brother weighed in on the matter.

In a week where Karl-Anthony Towns and Jordyn Woods’ provocative vacation photos set the internet ablaze, it’s telling that Reaves and Swift still found a way to steal the show. The latter would definitely supersede the former as the NBA’s new power couple if they were actually confirmed to be together.

Thus far, neither has commented on the rumors that have been circulating over the past 24 hours. Also complicating matters is that Reaves had a fairly long-term girlfriend as of last month. So until this speculation is proven to be true, it’s best to treat it with a grain of salt.

Either way – this is shaping up to be a big summer for Reaves. He is headed into restricted free agency as one of the biggest stars on the open market.

There are three teams trying to pry him away from the Lakers – with one dark horse candidate showing an intense amount of interest.

The 25-year-old’s stock has never been higher.

Will Reaves return to the Lakers next season? Is he dating Swift? One way or another the answers to all those questions and more will emerge over the next few months.
