Patrick Beverley Calls Out Suns’ Chris Paul For Fake Injury
The Phoenix Suns were eliminated from the NBA playoffs on Sunday evening.
Given that they were the best team in the league for large swaths of the season, and considering that many viewed them as a title favorite, the loss was obviously extremely disappointing.
To add insult to injury – the Suns’ Game 7 loss to the Dallas Mavericks wasn’t even close. They fell behind from the jump, trailed by 40+ at various stages of the outing, and then proceeded to get blown out 123-90.
The humiliations wouldn’t end there, though.
After the game, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley suggested on Twitter that someone on Phoenix’s roster would claim a fake injury as an excuse for their poor performance.
Yal stay locked in, let’s see who pulls the fake hurt move down a dub

Like clock work, Beverley was proven to be right. Shortly after everything wrapped, this bit of news emerged from the Suns:
Suns point guard Chris Paul limped out of the arena with a very slow walk. @andscape learned that Paul had a left quad injury. When asked about his quad injury, Paul declined comment.

Prompting this reaction from Beverley:

Hilariously enough, this wasn’t the lone shot that Beverley fired at Paul on Sunday evening. He also took aim the veteran point guard following this tweet from former NBA player Jeremy Lin:
Dang….I really hope CP3 gets a championship before he retires. He deserves one #legend

What u mean deserve why does he deserves it more?? https://t.co/Y0t0Sxbabu

Even Damian Lillard thought it was funny:

Big picture, this has been a busy few months for Beverley. Between landing in the headlines over his girl and straight up destroying Russell Westbrook with a tweet – it has just been one thing after another.
Yikes Celtics. https://t.co/IfR6Qnu6tv

The man has zero chill. Which is what you’d expect from someone with the gall to chase down an opposing player in a parking lot.
What will he ultimately go viral for next? Time will tell.
