Liv Cook’s Family Hires Famous Attorney Amid Josh Giddey Investigation
Liv Cook’s family has hired a famous attorney amid the ongoing investigation into her alleged relationship with Oklahoma City Thunder star Josh Giddey.
Last week, reports surfaced that Giddey was involved in some capacity with Cook. Because the latter was reportedly under the age of 18 at the time of the purported relationship, controversy quickly erupted.
In the days that followed, multiple troubling videos and photos seemingly showing the pair emerged. Not long after, Giddey became linked to a second high schooler. When that occurred, some of his Thunder teammates began scrubbing problematic tweets involving him from their social media accounts.
Shortly thereafter, both the NBA and Newport Beach police in California announced they were investigating the claims that had been circling online.
On Saturday, TMZ reported that Cook’s family had hired famed attorney to represent them.
“Gloria Allred can add another high-profile case to her resume … ’cause TMZ Sports has learned the famed attorney has been hired by the girl at the center of the investigation into OKC star Josh Giddey as cops work to determine if he had an inappropriate relationship with a minor,” the report read.
“Now that Allred is involved, it begs the question … why? She could be tasked with liaising with cops, or even talking to Giddey’s people about a potential settlement. We reached out to the powerful attorney who told us, ‘We represent the family and we have no comment.’”
In recent days, reports have surfaced suggesting that Cook’s family has a plan for how they want to proceed from here. This prompted a surprising response from Giddey’s family.

One way or another, this continues to be a situation that is shifting and changing quickly.
The findings from the police’s investigation and the NBA’s investigation into what precisely occurred between Giddey and Cook will be telling.
